Deep inside a magical green forest lived a mighty lion. He was strong, proud and feared by all the animals.

One sunny afternoon, the lion was sleeping peacefully under a large shady tree when a tiny mouse accidentally ran across his paw.

The lion woke up with a loud roar and caught the tiny mouse beneath his giant paw.

‘Please let me go,’ squeaked the mouse. ‘One day I may help you too.’

The lion laughed loudly. How could such a tiny mouse ever help a mighty lion?

But the lion had a kind heart. He lifted his paw and allowed the tiny mouse to run away.

A few days later, the lion became trapped in a hunter’s net deep inside the forest.

The lion roared loudly for help. Soon, the little mouse heard him and rushed to the rescue.

Using his tiny sharp teeth, the mouse carefully chewed through the ropes until the lion was free.

The lion smiled warmly and thanked his tiny friend. From that day onward, they remained the best of friends.
